The Pink Tax is the extra cost women often pay for products and services that are nearly identical to those marketed toward men. This project began in my Typography I class, where I created a series of Instagram posts to highlight how this pricing disparity shows up in everyday life. I later developed the work into a full public service campaign, extending it into a newspaper layout and printed flyers designed to reach audiences beyond Instagram and encourage wider awareness of the issue.

Instagram Posts

Designed for Instagram, this three-part carousel series breaks down the Pink Tax through progressive storytelling. The first post builds awareness, the second reveals subtle ways the Pink Tax appears in daily spending, and the third provides actionable strategies for combating it.

Newspaper

Created in Adobe InDesign, this newspaper spreads the Pink Tax campaign into a print-based editorial experience. The layout uses typographic structure and visual hierarchy to communicate the impact of gender-based pricing in a more in-depth, accessible way.

Flyers

These flyers were designed to raise awareness of the Pink Tax through bold, eye-catching visuals and a strong use of pink to immediately signal the theme and draw attention in public spaces.
